MIND Coordination Team

The MIND Network is coordinated by the Developing Minds Lab at the University of Vechta. Our team supports the network’s international research collaborations, connecting partner institutions across the globe and facilitating joint studies on children’s cognitive and socio-emotional development.

Prof. Dr. Christopher Osterhaus

Professor of Developmental Psychology · Scientific Coordinator, MIND Network

Christopher leads the Developing Minds Lab at the University of Vechta, where his research focuses on children’s scientific reasoning, social cognition, and the development of critical thinking across cultures. As Scientific Coordinator of the MIND Network, he oversees the network’s collaborative research agenda and fosters partnerships with institutions worldwide.

Jana Warnke

Research Associate

Jana coordinates day-to-day research activities within the Developing Minds Lab and serves as a central point of contact for MIND Network partners. Her work bridges empirical research and international collaboration, supporting data collection and exchange across partner sites.

Cedric Staas

Research Assistant

Cedric supports the lab’s research projects and assists with the coordination of international data collection efforts. He contributes to the practical work of cross-cultural studies and helps maintain communication across the MIND Network partner institutions.

Developing Minds Lab Vechta

Based in the University of Vechta’s Developing Minds Lab, we combine child-friendly research spaces, digital tools, and school partnerships, offering students research training, thesis supervision, and links between teaching, outreach, and the MIND Network.
